At Wapice we have a long tradition of working with industrial systems which have high requirements for quality and reliability. Those goals apply also on our own products, such as the award-winning IoT application platform IoT-TICKET®. We work in close co-operation with our customers and the project domains can vary from IoT solutions to machine control systems and from sales tools to customer management applications. In addition to the project work we like to pilot new technology trends and develop our competency with internal activities.
The Role
We are searching for several talents experienced or motivated to grow in test automation. Our testing targets vary between embedded devices, AI applications, web/mobile solutions and distributed cloud systems. Tasks in this position typically include creating test cases and integration libraries, maintaining their execution and health and troubleshooting the arising issues. Tasks may also involve participation to software implementation according to your preference. Experts with more experience also participate in building test automation architectures or custom frameworks from scratch including technology selections.
Right now we have several projects needing test automation experts, so the position is open flexibly from any of our sites (Vaasa, Tampere, Jyväskylä, Helsinki, Turku, Seinäjoki, Hyvinkää and Oulu) and of course remotely, too.
Who are we looking for?
We appreciate work experience in test automation, however your positive mindset and passion for continuous development are the most important things for us. Having basic programming skills in one or more languages helps a lot, and we also hope you’re not afraid to dig into any source code when necessary. We’d also be delighted if you’re familiar with some of the technologies we use:
- Robot Framework
- Selenium
- Playwright
- Python
- Docker
- Linux
- CI/CD services such as Gitlab, Azure Devops, Bamboo, Jenkins, TeamCity
You understand the applications of manual and special testing practices, but love to focus on automatic regression testing. You keep yourself updated on the quickly evolving scene of test automation tooling and try out new concepts without hesitation. You have a keen eye for test case readability, maintainability and meaningfulness. You aim at minimal test automation complexity even when it requires pushing testability improvements on the system under test.
