Firmware Developer

We are looking for an experienced firmware developer to work with interesting custom hardware and deeply embedded software stacks.

In this position you would be working closely with our in-house firmware and embedded application middleware stacks that are the foundation of Exertus’ heavy work machinery control system implementations. We expect you to be able to work independently on challenging firmware and embedded SW tasks and contribute to the architecture of our embedded SW platform. We offer you a unique and interesting domain to put your skills into use – it’s not every embedded system that gets to control marvels of engineering work worth of a house – and an experienced team around you where you can continue growing professionally.

In the role you will need to be familiar with

·        programming languages C, C++ and assembly

·        embedded systems and their architecture in general

·        CAN and CANopen field bus protocols

·        Embedded real-time operating systems

In addition, we appreciate knowledge and hands-on experience with related technologies like electronics, hydraulics, embedded Linux, Qt, ROS/ROS2 and functional safety. Your detailed role can also be tuned according to your skillset and particular interests.
